Humility … and Meditation

We do not meditate

We are meditated.

Anyone can sit silently in lotus position

Yet only s/he who sits with humility

Surrendering personal will to Infinite Will

May receive the grace that is meditation.

We create nothing more than the possibility of meditation. We may create a foundation upon which meditation may occur—but only given the grace of the [Tao] (substitute any label you prefer that describes the Infinite source) may we connect to the Infinite. In other words, anyone can sit silently in lotus position, yet only s/he with true humility may receive the grace of the Infinite, a blessing of Infinite connectedness, transcension of the mundane plane into sacred unity.

What is humility? It is surrender to something greater than ourselves. It is surrender to the moment – ie., acknowledgment that all that exists is this moment (as only ego falls for the illusion that so-called future and so-called past are real). It is surrender to truth.

When truly humble we are guided by truth that the profane aspect of mind cannot  see.
